Summer course in life art & biographical creative writing

From 18 May to 25 May 2024, you can take part in the summer course: ‘Your journey in pictures’. This course combines life art and biographical creative writing to explore your own life. How has my life journey gone so far? And where do I still want to go? What desires lie there?

You will spend this week at Domaine Les Gonies, a quiet and atmospheric place in the French countryside. Where you can enjoy delicious organic local produce.

In interactive lectures in the morning, you will learn to see your own life as a journey. From Joseph Campbell’s work: The hero with a thousand faces. Using film excerpts, passages from world literature and philosophical ideas, you will gain insights from the art of living.

In the afternoon, you will work on creative biographical writing. Using short writing exercises, you will dive into your biographical journey and capture it in your own words. You will playfully explore different forms of creative writing: prose, poetry and letter-writing. This creates a conversation with your own life, to arrive at reflections, insights and desires.
